Ocorian, the global financial services group and provider of corporate administration, funds and trust services, has appointed Ben Hill as Managing Director of its Guernsey office.
Ben has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services in the Channel Islands and has a broad knowledge across fund administration, banking, custody, depositary and fiduciary services, including as a Non-Executive Director. He joins Ocorian from Northern Trust where he was a Managing Director of the firm’s business in Guernsey.
In his new role, Ben will oversee all aspects of the business in Guernsey including service delivery, client care and business development, and will work with the whole team to deliver operational excellence.
Ben will work with the board, group and the team on the ground to implement a strategic plan that delivers sustained growth in funds, corporate and private client services. He replaces Mel Torode who stepped in as Interim MD at the end of 2019 and has now become a Non-Executive Director of Ocorian in Guernsey.
Farah Ballands, CEO of Ocorian, commented: “Guernsey is an important part of Ocorian’s offering and I look forward to working with Ben at this exciting time in our journey. I am confident that he will help deliver our ambitious growth plans for this key jurisdiction.”
On his appointment, Ben Hill said: “I’m really happy to be joining Ocorian at this key time not only for our Guernsey business, but our global operation as a whole. I am excited to be taking things forward and building on the firm foundations that have been established by the team in Guernsey already.”
