Bedell Cristin has announced the appointment of Joanne Verbiesen, an experienced senior private client and offshore litigation lawyer, as a Partner in its Singapore office.
Joanne, who has substantial offshore experience working for top tier firms in the Cayman Islands and Hong Kong, joins from HSBC in Hong Kong where she was a Senior Legal Counsel in the trust and fiduciary services business. Previously she has worked in senior positions in offshore firms in the Cayman Islands and in Hong Kong where she was a Partner.
A New Zealand qualified attorney with 16 years’ post qualification experience, she specialises in commercial litigation, contentious and non-contentious trusts and estates work, offshore corporate law, insolvency and re-structuring. She has been admitted in both New Zealand and Cayman and is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong and Singapore.
