The Shelter Trust invites you to warm up this winter and help make a difference by taking part in the brand-new Souper Challenge!
It’s a fun, simple way for the Jersey community to support Shelter Trust’s work in providing over 100,000 meals each year to those who need it most.
The challenge, which is being launched in the run up to the annual Shelter Trust Soup Kitchen, taking place in the Royal Square on Tuesday 10th December, hopes to see the community get behind this fun but important fundraising initiative.
What is the Shelter Trust Souper Challenge?
Shelter Trust are inviting Souperheroes of all ages to make a bowl of soup, donate £3 to Shelter (the cost of a meal), and challenge three friends on social media to do the same.
Whether you’re a seasoned chef or new to the kitchen, this challenge is for everyone. So even if you aren’t on social media, you’re still invited to make a soup and gift a donation.
Follow these four easy steps to become a Souperhero:
- Make your soup – Pick a favourite recipe, try something new, or follow one of the three suggested soups on the Shelter Trust website.
- Donate a meal to Shelter Trust – Just £3 per meal can help make a huge difference to those in need – donate here.
- Share on social and challenge your friends. Post a picture of your soup with #SouperChallenge and tag three friends to take part.
Why Take Part?
Every bowl, every donation, and every share will help us raise funds and awareness for the Shelter Trust’s vital work, including our Annual Soup Kitchen event.
This winter, many people will struggle to keep warm and find food. By joining the Souper Challenge, you’ll be part of a community effort to provide essential meals to those who need them most, both through meals served in one of Shelter Trust’s seven sites or distributed through their Outreach Programme.
Together, we can make a meaningful impact and spread a little warmth this season.
