Users and passengers of Guernsey Airport will see a considerable enhancement in the food and beverage offer when refurbishment works start on the two cafés.
Work on redeveloping the outlets which are operated by Caterleisure (Guernsey) Limited is planned to start on Monday 17 June 2019 and is set to be completed by the end of July 2019.
The upstairs and airside cafés will be rebranded ‘Bailiwick Bar and Kitchen’, which will aim to offer quality and value for money.
Commercial Manager, Ports, Doug Wright said:
“This is a substantial investment from our food and beverage operator. We believe airport passengers and terminal users will welcome this redevelopment in our food and beverage outlets. Customers using both cafes will see a considerable transformation in the food offer and in menu choices. We are particularly pleased with the design choices for both cafes in the terminal, which will improve the overall dining experience at Guernsey Airport thanks to the investment by our food and beverage operator Caterleisure (Guernsey) Limited. We understand this work may cause some inconvenience for passengers, however, the project has been planned to minimise disruption whenever possible and is planned to be completed before the main summer school holidays.”
Both the airside and landslide Bailiwick Bar and Kitchen outlets will have enhanced dining facilities, new kitchens, and food preparation equipment. This will enable an expanded food and drink menu range and choice at Guernsey Airport.
Temporary catering outlets selling chilled food, tea, coffee, and other cold beverages will be available to customers during the project. These will be positioned near both of the existing cafes in the terminal. Alcoholic drinks will not be available whilst the improvement works are taking place land and airside due to local licensing restrictions.
