Independent fund and corporate services provider, Aztec Group, has appointed Charlotte Light as Chief Technology Officer and Tom Bennett as Head of Innovation.
Aztec told Channel Eye that their business is first and foremost about its people providing a high touch service to its clients. However, the Group’s introduction of these key strategic appointments recognises that technology and innovation will continue to play an increasingly important role in how that service is delivered over the next few years. These appointments reflect an increase in Aztec’s focus on technology and innovation.
Over the last five years, the Aztec Group has strengthened its technology with industry-leading solutions. It recognises that to be a digital and data leader in its field, this is just the foundation. The Group is turning its attention towards innovation and using technology to further differentiate its service proposition in anticipation of its clients’ future needs.
Charlotte is a technology transformation leader with a breadth and depth of experience from many different industries, including media, medical, and retail. As CTO for the Aztec Group, she brings a wealth of expertise in technology and change and will drive this crucial agenda as a member of the Executive Board. She joins the Group from Channel 4, where she was Chief Information Officer.
Previously COO at JLL’s UK Investment and Agency businesses, Tom Bennett will identify new ideas and opportunities for existing business and create pure new revenue streams for the Aztec Group in his role as Head of Innovation. His passion lies in developing next generation businesses using technology adoption and value creation.
Aztec specialises in alternative investments, including real estate, infrastructure, private equity and private debt. The Aztec Group employs over 1,000 people across seven offices and administers over €440 billion of assets for more than 240 alternative investment managers.
Edward Moore, CEO, Aztec Group, said: “We have big plans to provide additional value to our clients through making technology and data work harder. Working with our clients, we are confident we can innovate to drive greater collaboration, insights and intelligent automation. We made the decision to look outside our industry for these two key strategic hires and I am delighted that Charlotte and Tom have joined us, bringing new thinking to what we do.
“We have already had some great conversations around the opportunities technology and innovation can play in evolving our industry and l am looking forward to working closely with them both.”
