The Fairway Jersey Personal Pension Scheme (FJPPS), which provides pensions for more than 4,000 islanders, has been shortlisted for the 2018 International Fund and Product Awards, the only Jersey-based scheme to do so.
The 19th IFP Awards, which are run by International Investment, recognise the leading international financial providers and products globally.
FJPPS recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, having been created in 2008 following changes to the Jersey Income Tax Law, enabling the use of Jersey trusts for personal pension planning for the first time.
The scheme is open to all Jersey residents through their financial advisers and provides a flexible, local plan for future retirement.
Peter Culnane, Head of Pensions at Fairway Group, said: “We’re obviously delighted that the Fairway Jersey Personal Pension Scheme has been shortlisted but what’s more satisfying is that a successful Jersey scheme created to provide a better future for all island residents is now internationally recognised as a leader in its field”.
