Aurigny ATR72 G-ORAI aircraft will be returned to service next week, meaning the fleet will return to operating three Aurigny owned ATR aircraft and one from the wet-lease provider.

The SAAB 340 will continue to be used on a back-up basis between now and 4 July while the airline operates on a reduced schedule.

Wet-lease capacity will continue to be provided until the two additional ATR72 aircraft (in addition to the current 3) are added to the fleet, with the first arriving in July and the second arriving in September.

Nico Bezuidenhout (pictured), CEO at Aurigny, said: “With the return of our ATR72 aircraft, we’re committed to providing reliable service and keeping our customers informed every step of the way.”

Customers are reminded that they will be contacted proactively by email if their flights are affected by the reduced schedule during June. Any flight delayed beyond three hours, and flights that have been rebooked to a different airport, will be eligible for free changes without fare differences to an alternative and suitable date, or passengers can opt for a refund.
