Rob Hutchinson, an accountant with more than 30 years’ experience, has joined the board of Ravenscroft Holdings Limited.
Mr Hutchinson spent 28 years with KPMG, including leading the firm’s fund and private equity practices for seven years and five years as head of audit for KPMG in the Channel Islands. He retired from practice in 2014 but now holds a number of non-executive director positions including chair of the audit committee at Syncona, which invests in innovative areas of healthcare.
“I’ve obviously known about Ravenscroft for a number of years and what I like about it is the team’s focus on relationships with customers, which I think is key to the success of any business,” said Mr Hutchinson, who is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and served as President of the Guernsey Society of Chartered and Certified Accountants in 2007 and 2009.
“Ravenscroft is at an exciting phase of its development and I am delighted to be part of its future. My experience with KPMG over 28 years provided me with core corporate governance skills which will be key for my new role with Ravenscroft going forward.”
Ravenscroft recently acquired Royal London Asset Management CI Limited and Royal London Custody Services CI Limited to expand its existing cash management offering and increased assets under administration to £6.5 billion.
Chairman Stephen Lansdown said Mr Hutchinson brought valuable skills to the board, which also recently appointed digital entrepreneur Chris Barling.
“Rob specialised in the audit of banking and fund clients at KPMG and so his broad financial experience will complement the skills of the rest of the board. I have every confidence that the Ravenscroft board now has the expertise to guide the company through its plans for growth,” he said.
