The Jersey Aston Martin Owners Club will be hosting a rare display of classic Aston Martin cars at Government House this Sunday 30 June. The free showcase of more than 50 classic cars is being held in support of local charity, Les Amis.
On display will be many pre-war Aston Martin models, a must-see for all classic car enthusiasts. Visitors will be able to view cars from local Aston Martin owners alongside those from Jacksons who are supporting the event at Government House.
Edward Pipon of Area 23 Aston Martin Ownership Club said: “It is not often that islanders get to enjoy such a tremendous display of classic cars, so we are really thrilled that we are able to host this in such picturesque surroundings as are on offer at Government House.
“We are proud to be putting on this event in support of a very worthwhile cause. I know that many of Les Amis’ residents are big fans of cars and we are looking forward to taking a few of them out for a ride in the near future. Whilst this is a free event, we would ask visitors to donate generously to the charity if they possibly can.”
Representatives from Les Amis will be at the event, talking to people about the services they provide to those with learning disabilities and their families and how fundraising and donations are put to good use.
The island’s largest charitable organisation will also be selling tickets for their upcoming VW Camper Van Raffle to raise further funding to help their residents lead full, independent lives.
