The trustees of the Around the Island Walk, sponsored by TMF Group, have announced that the amount raised in the name of the Island Walk this year was £139,444.

The main charities to benefit from this year’s walk are RNLI, Trees for Life and Skate Space. In addition the following charities received smaller grants, Family  First, Wednesday Night Football, National Trust Jersey, Sanctuary Trust, Variety and Healing Waves.

As ever Rotary Club de la Manche, St John’s Ambulance, the Scouts and Girl Guides did tremendous work and will all receive recognition.

The Walk continues to raise funds for local charities and the total raised to date is just over £2.9 million. One of the main provisions is that all the money raised by the walkers is redistributed to local charities with the sponsors, TMF Group, funding the expenses.

The Trustees wishes to thank all the walkers who raised money, our sponsors TMF Group and the mass of volunteers who assisted, without them the walk would simply not happen.
