Applications are now open for Saffery Trust’s four-week paid internship for Guernsey-based students.
With four places available, the internship is open to any GCSE or A-level/BTEC students aged 16+ who are interested in a career in finance, trust, or support service roles. Now in its second year, the placement was hailed as “100% worthwhile” by a previous participant.
First established in Guernsey in 1977. Saffery Trust is an independent trust and corporate service provider, with over 100 employees. The firm specialises in trust and succession planning, digital assets and cryptocurrency, non-standard luxury assets, and contentious matters for high-net-worth individuals, families, and corporate entities around the world.
In addition to the client-facing trust and corporate service teams, the firm also has many non-client-facing support roles including in accounting, administration, digital solutions, human resources, and marketing. The diversity of Saffery Trust’s services provides a unique opportunity for students to learn more about the career opportunities available within the industry.
Students will also learn about professional qualifications relevant to the industry, and the study support available.
Saffery Trust People & Culture Associate Director, Sharon Coburn (pictured), said: “A career in the finance industry is much more diverse than students may know. This internship is a fantastic opportunity to gain first-hand experience across a broad range of career paths, while getting a feel for office life. We are looking for enthusiastic team players, with an interest in learning more about the wealth industry. The internship is a highly valuable learning experience both for the students and our team members, who are keen to share their experience and expertise with the next generation of professionals.”
Successful applicants will spend the four-week placement in pairs, spending time with each of the firm’s client and non-client facing teams.
The placement will run 10am – 4pm from Monday 28th July to Friday 22nd August 2025.
Applications must be made by Friday 28 March 2025. Find out more and apply here.
