Offshore law firm Appleby has made a significant appointment to its growing Corporate team with Tristan Ozanne joining as a Group Partner in the Guernsey office.
Tristan (pictured) has an extremely broad and in-depth experience of all corporate & commercial, banking and finance and regulatory work, gained through over 20 years of offshore practice. He has particular expertise in corporate acquisitions and corporate advisory, together with fund finance and real estate finance. Tristan frequently advises on regulatory matters across all supervisory laws pertaining to collective investment funds and licensees.
Tristan was recently named a ‘Next Generation Partner’ by Legal 500 in their 2025 UK directory in both the ‘Corporate and Commercial’ and ‘Banking and Finance’ practice areas. Tristan was also recognised as an ‘Up and Coming Practitioner’ by Chambers and Partners in their 2025 UK directory in ‘Corporate and Finance including Investment Funds’ practice area.
Tristan qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2007. He attended Exeter University to gain his LLB and Nottingham University for his LPC. Prior to joining Appleby, he was a partner at an international law firm in Guernsey.
