Apex Group, a global financial services provider, has announced the appointment of Qasir Bashir as Country Head – Denmark, responsible for overseeing the delivery of Apex Group’s single-source solution to Danish clients.
Prior to joining Sanne Group in 2021, Qasir held senior roles within the Danish alternative investment management industry including as Chief Alternative Investment Risk Officer at Danske Bank and Chief Consultant at Danske Invest. A lawyer by training, Qasir began his career working with financial regulation and later held fund operations related roles including fund formation and leading various fund related projects.
Apex Group entered the Nordic market in 2022 through the strategic acquisition of Sanne Group which added almost 80 employees in the region. The Group’s Danish business now offers a full suite of technology-enabled products and solutions across Fund Administration, Financial and Corporate Solutions, delivered by a team of 40 local market experts based in Copenhagen.
Apex Group’s Danish clients – as well as international clients investing into Denmark – benefit from the efficiency of a single-source solution, including access to a broad range of services including Digital Banking, Depositary, Fund Raising Services, and pioneering ESG Ratings and Advisory Solutions, offered globally.
Qasir will continue to work alongside Apex Group’s experienced regional management team, including James Burke, Regional Head – Northern Europe, Amanda Ekman, Country Head – Sweden, and Dominik Becker, Regional Head Business Development, Central & Northern Europe.
The role was previously held by Peter Toyberg who will retire from Apex Group effective October 31, 2023. In addition to this, Lars Moller Anderson who co-founded the Private Equity Administrators (latterly part of Sanne Group) business along with Peter has also announced his intention to retire from the business in the coming year.
