A Channel Islands air charter firm has been granted permission from the States of Guernsey and Jersey to import pets from Europe.
Isle-Fly already has official licensing to carry pets to and from the UK and Ireland, and is now allowed to land pets from the continent. Until now the only option was to do so by ferry with the animal in a car.
Paul Sabin, Director of Flight Operations at Isle-Fly, said: “Since we were granted approval from the States of Jersey and Guernsey, we have received some fantastic feedback from islanders on the new service. We have transported a couple of pets to date and hope that others will utilise this new pet transportation solution that is available for both Jersey and Guernsey residents.”
He added: “We take pride in the fact that all Isle-Fly chartered aircraft are operated to the highest commercial standards of maintenance, crew training and insurance under Air Operators Certificates issued by the Civil Aviation Authority, so you can be assured that and your pets are in safe hands when flying with Isle-Fly.”
Isle-Fly Ltd is based in the Jersey Aero Club complex and offers on-demand aircraft charters in an eight seater Cessna 406 turboprop aircraft.
