Alex Picot Trust has announced that it is supporting the Jersey Rifle Association.
The sponsorship is a multi-year agreement which includes the purchasing of wireless ear defenders for use in local and international team matches enabling the team to compete on a level playing field, along with clothing and other equipment. In addition, Alex Picot Trust (APT) is annually covering the cost of the entry fees for the main Jersey team matches, both on Island and overseas, ensuring that the next generation of young shooters have the resources and support needed to compete at the highest levels.
The partnership got off to a perfect start with the Jersey Rifle Association’s recent win against the National Rifle Association.
Chris Cotillard, director of Alex Picot Trust said: “As both a director at Alex Picot Trust and a passionate member of the shooting community, I am delighted that we can support the Jersey Rifle Association and in particular young upcoming shooters. With a long-standing history on the Island, it is a perfect fit for Alex Picot Trust to sponsor an association which was founded over 160 years ago”.
Captain of the Jersey Rifle Association, Nick Atkins added: “We are incredibly grateful to Alex Picot Trust for their generous support. This funding will assist team members and in particular the junior shooters to compete at the highest level and proudly represent Jersey. We’re excited about the opportunities this creates and look forward to a strong partnership”.
