Advocate Austin has been sworn in to the role of Clerk to Commissioners of Tax at the Royal Court.
The Clerk plays an important role for taxpayers who want to appeal a decision made by the Comptroller of taxes. The Clerk arranges and attends a meeting between the Taxpayer and the Commissioners of Appeal who hear their case, and is then responsible for notifying the Appellant of the outcome of their appeal.
Being appointed to this role is indicative of the high quality of service and breadth of experience that Advocate Austin brings to bear in his day to day role at Le Gallais & Luce.
Advocate Austin commented:
“I am privileged to take the baton to fulfil this public duty. Le Gallais & Luce are committed to serving the community and I am proud to continue the tradition of performing this role.”
