Simon Tostevin, a local entrepreneur, opened the bar recently in the premises along the seafront.
With a ping-pong table on the upper floor and seating downstairs the bar is hoping to offer something different to the island.
Mr Tostevin, who previously ran The White Hart and Cornerstone pubs, says that business has already been successful with locals enthusiastic about the idea of a sports-dedicated bar with DJs and a full drinks selection.
With one bar already stocked on the ground floor with draught beers from both breweries – including Breda – as well as a sommelier wine list and spirits, another bar is hoping to be opened up in the coming weeks.
“We didn’t want to do a cocktail list as we wanted to do something different for the area, that could have gotten lost in this area with so much of that already on offer,” Mr Tostevin said.
Local DJ “Oneofakind” Andre de Carteret has already been booked to play an eclectic mix of funk and soul at the weekends.
Opening hours are 11:00-late Monday – Saturday and 12:00-18:00 on a Sunday.
