Channel Islands communications consultancy Liquid has been named in a high-profile list of the top 25 PR firms outside London – and among the sector’s most successful 150 companies in the UK.

The annual listing by PRWeek magazine also revealed that Liquid has joined the top 15 companies for public sector communications work due to a significant rise in income during 2018.

The independent industry endorsement follows a clutch of shortlistings for top awards for Liquid’s client work and comes as the consultancy launches a targeted growth strategy.

PRWeek ranks consultancies according to revenue and Liquid is placed 24thfor the top 40 consultancies outside London for 2019. Liquid, which is celebrating its 15thanniversary, has offices in Jersey and Guernsey as well as the UK, and no other firm with a Channel Islands presence features in the top 40 list.

In the UK-wide table, Liquid is placed at 145, and in an exciting new move Liquid also features for the first time in the top 15 firms for public sector PR (15th).

Lisa Downes, PR director for Liquid, said: “We have an ambitious growth strategy for the Channel Islands and the UK mainland for 2019-2020, and it is great to see our client-focused approach recognised in the annual listings by PRWeek. The rankings are based on revenue and are a true reflection of client satisfaction thanks to new contracts and retained business. Channel Islands’ firms, from financial services to tourism attractions, need to see return on investment and the team at Liquid is adept at finding solutions to the complex business challenges faced by our clients.”

Publication of the annual figures comes as Liquid is shortlisted for four top PR awards – including best consultancy – by a leading professional organisation. The quartet of nominations in the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) DARE Awards 2019 recognises the breath of expertise throughout the organisation and follows a national shortlisting in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Excellence Awards.

For the PRCA DARE Awards, Liquid’s teams in the Channel Islands and Birmingham have been shortlisted separately in the flagship Large Consultancy of the Year category for the South West & Wales and the Midlands respectively.

Liquid has received two further nominations for Integrated Campaign of the Year and Charity / Not For Profit Award for its #ItTakes2 campaign for the Westfield Health British Transplant Games. The Games celebrate the achievements of transplant patients and are designed to encourage people to sign the NHS Organ Donor Register. During the Liquid campaign, there was a 7.2% increase in organ donor registrations, breaking the target set by the Games’ organisers by 75%.

Liquid is also shortlisted in the Health Campaign category in the 2019 Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Excellence Awards for the Games.
