Louvre Trust (Guernsey) Limited has strengthened its senior compliance team with the promotions of Leon Smith and Ed Riley.
Leon takes a position on the Board as Fiduciary Risk & Compliance Director while Ed becomes Money Laundering Compliance Officer.
Leon has over 35 years of experience working in the finance industry. Having gained his International Compliance Diploma in 2005, Leon is now a Fellow member of the International Compliance Association. He started his career in banking before moving into compliance 15 years ago and has extensive experience working for both large and medium fiduciary firms in a compliance role.
Ed is an experienced trust professional, having worked in the offshore wealth management sector since 2006. With more than 10 years’ experience in client-facing roles including a position on the board of the trustee, Ed then moved into compliance in 2016. Ed holds the ICSA Diploma in Offshore Finance and has recently been studying with the International Compliance Association.
Leon will lead the compliance team and will manage risk for the regulated Guernsey trust business whilst Ed takes on the responsibility of Money Laundering Compliance Officer.
