Cherry Godfrey Jersey has appointed Tim Rattray as new Managing Director and has been given the opportunity to grow their insurance business.
The Jersey office opened in 2000 offering finance and insurance products and now they offer a full suite of products including insurance, mortgages and loans under one roof.
Originally from Cheshire, Tim moved to the Isle of Man when he was fifteen, where he began his career in insurance. He spent 15 years in London working in several large brokerages dealing with FTSE 250 companies before returning to the Isle of Man in 2005 to open an office for Rossborough. In the 12 years he was there as Managing Director the business grew from being a fledging operation to having 22 employees.
Tim has over 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry with specialist knowledge of professional indemnity, directors’ & officers’ liability and cyber risks cover.

“The company is currently offering loans, mortgages and insurance. I would like to develop the commercial insurance arm, introduce private medical insurance as well as cyber insurance, which is a very hot topic at the moment.”
