A Guernsey bank has promoted two staff within its relationship management team to improve its service to clients.

Rachel Neill and James Olliver bring several decades of technical and client-facing skills to their new roles at ABN AMRO Channel Islands, which says the promotions underline its commitment to supporting the career development of its local staff.

Rachel said: “Alongside my existing role as a relationship manager, my promotion means I’ve taken on additional responsibility as a manger a team of eight client account managers within ABN AMRO’s structured wealth department. I’m excited about my new role supporting my colleagues in their development.”

She’s been with the bank for nearly a decade in a variety of technical, back-office and client-facing roles. For the past five years she has been a client relationship manager.

James has been promoted to a relationship manager after starting as a client account manager earlier this year. The former Elizabeth College student has previously worked at MeesPiersonReads and Credit Suisse.

He said: “For me, it really is all about the clients, building those relationships and getting to know people. While there is so much change going on, relationship management is key and always will be. I’m looking forward to using all my experience and skills in my new role.”
