Oak is the new sponsor of the Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club in Guernsey and is also supporting the Beau Sejour Swim School.

Oak’s support ensures that Barracudas members can continue to compete at all levels in the sport including club, county, regional, national and international competitions.

The Barracudas are the Beau Sejour Swim School’s flagship competitive squad.  The Barracudas receive their training under the banner of the Beau Sejour Swim School, while all aspects of competition and social activities are undertaken on a voluntary basis.  There are currently 160 swimmers in the squad from 8 years old to Masters and more than 2,000 swimmers attend lessons at the Swim School each week.

As part of the sponsorship, Oak’s branding has been included in a full revamp of the Barracudas and the Swim School’s kit – strengthening their identities.

“Swimming is a core life skill, particularly living on an island, and the Barracudas and Swim School do an excellent job promoting swimming to the Guernsey community and coaching individuals from basic ability right through to competitive sporting standard,” said Stuart Platt-Ransom, Oak chief executive officer.

“We’re looking forward to supporting the Club Championships Series, to be known as the Oak Series and encouraging a new generation of swimmers to reach their full potential.”

Directors of the Barracudas, Alison Frankland and Debbie Le Noury added: “We are extremely grateful for Oak’s support. The club relies heavily on its solid team of volunteers and Oak’s involvement means that our swimmers can continue to compete at the highest level both on and off island.”
