Jersey-based fintech business EWG is working with ClearBank to expand its payment infrastructure and provide additional banking and payment options for clients.
The agreement will give EWG access to additional payment networks, with plans to introduce Jersey-specific sort codes and EU IBANs. It is also expected to support faster domestic payments, enhanced account functionality and greater resilience through access to alternative payment routes.
Warren Sanders, EWG Founder Director, said: “Working with ClearBank is a natural next step in EWG’s evolution. We have always focused on removing friction from complex financial operations, and the infrastructure behind how money moves is fundamental to that.
“ClearBank strengthens that infrastructure, giving us access to diversified payment rails and greater resilience while expanding what we can offer clients. It means we can continue to build around the way our clients actually operate, rather than asking them to adapt to outdated banking infrastructure.”
The development comes as financial services businesses face growing expectations for faster, more transparent payments, particularly when managing international structures and transactions across different jurisdictions.
Warren added: “The last 15 years have been about building the platform and continually innovating to deliver the financial services that clients need. Working with ClearBank is about reinforcing the foundations underneath it so that we can continue to scale and innovate over the next 15 years.”
