The team at de Gruchy have hosted a second exclusive Mint Velvet fashion event, raising £960 for Mind Jersey, the store’s Charity of the Year for 2026.
One hundred percent of proceeds will go directly to the charity.
Building on the success of last year’s event, which welcomed 75 guests in support of Freeda, this year’s event drew almost 100 guests to the Mint Velvet department, where Hilary Palmer, Retail Director for Mint Velvet, unveiled the brand’s new season collection.
Commenting, Hilary said: “We were delighted to partner with Dr Patricia Tumelty CEO of Mind and the de Gruchy team for such a special evening in Jersey. At Mint Velvet, we’re passionate about making getting dressed feel easier, so it was lovely to spend time with our customers, sharing autumn styling advice and helping them find the pieces that feel right for them. To be able to do that while raising money for Mind Jersey made the evening really meaningful. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped support such an important cause.”
Guests enjoyed prosecco, gourmet light bites and an exclusive preview of the latest collection, as well as the opportunity to book personal styling sessions.
Simon Youden, Store Director at de Gruchy, said: “For the second year running, this evening brought together inspirational fashion and community spirit, and it was wonderful to welcome so many guests. We are delighted that every penny raised goes to Mind Jersey, our Charity of the Year, and proud to have raised £960 to support mental health and wellbeing in Jersey. Thank you to Hilary and the Mint Velvet team, and of course to everyone who joined us.”
Dr Patricia Tumelty, Executive Director of Mind Jersey, added: “A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this event. Every ticket has helped us raise vital funds to support mental health and wellbeing in Jersey. We’re incredibly grateful to de Gruchy’s wonderful customers and community for helping Mind Jersey make a difference.”
