The team from a Guernsey-based start-up, Suzie, are in Lithuania this week to pitch for a place at the Baltic Sandbox, a prestigious eight-week tech accelerator programme.

Securing a place on the programme would see the founders of Suzie, a ‘social travel agent’ benefit from daily sessions with experienced mentors and market experts who will help the start-up tailor their product, strategy and business model as well as network with other fintech, software as a service (SaaS) and deep tech firms.

Suzie aims to help millennial travellers book hotels faster and cheaper whilst also engaging with their fellow travellers. The platform has a number of first-in-market features and benefits hotels who can fulfil their occupancy at any price without affecting their image.

Following the pitch in Lithuania, Sam Lazinskas, Martynas Jonaitis and Anita Kilby, the three co-founders of Suzie will travel to Riga for the TechChill event.  TechChill celebrates the best of the Baltic startup community including the fastest growing startups, investors and talented tech enthusiasts.

Anita Kilby says: “The opportunity to compete for a place in the eight-week Baltic Sandbox would see our team mentored by the best-of-breed tech entrepreneurs and founders around the world.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to gain exposure to the founders of Uber, We Serve, Spotify, Revolut, Coachsurfer and many other industry disrupter success stories.

“At the end of the programme, we will pitch to the three largest funds in each global regional sector. The aim is to secure the full funding required to kick-start the business, but first, we must impress the mentors enough to gain access to the programme.”
