A globally recognised advanced cyber security certification, the Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) has been achieved by Information Security Consultant, James Ogier from leading outsourced IT managed services provider, Resolution IT.
The qualification is a demonstration of the advanced technical skills and knowledge to implement, monitor and administer IT infrastructure using security best practises, policies and procedures established by the cyber security experts at International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)².
As James explained: “It involved several months of hard study, adding many additional hours to my already busy working week, so it’s a fairly big commitment to make. I took the exam in Southampton and was delighted to have passed. The certification content very much relates to security best practice in any size of organisation and highlights areas in Information Security that may otherwise take a back step but are equally, if not more important. The cyber landscape is evolving so quickly there is a massive worldwide shortage of skilled professionals. It’s therefore important to keep on top of certifications. It’s also great to be one of only three that hold the certification on the island and less than 500 in the UK.”
