JCKC Law, a litigation firm established by Advocate James Corbett, has welcomed a further new member of Counsel to its associated business, the Chambers of James Corbett KC, in Jersey.
Howard Sharp KC (Jersey Law) has joined the practice as a door tenant with immediate effect.
The Chambers of James Corbett KC will be the only legal practice in the Island to have the benefit of two ‘Silks’, both of whom are English barristers and Jersey Advocates.
Howard Sharp KC (pictured) was Her Majesty’s Solicitor General for Jersey from 8th March 2010 until 1st July 2015 and was then a founder member of another set of Chambers in Jersey in 2015. He is also a member of 33 Chambers, London. Mr Sharp KC has appeared in the Privy Council as leading counsel and is one of the very few Jersey Advocates to have done so in that court.
Howard has a wide-ranging litigation practice and acts in both commercial and public law cases. His expertise is broad and covers commercial litigation, Russian sanctions, civil fraud, asset recovery and judicial review.
James said: “I am delighted to welcome Howard Sharp KC to Chambers. Howard’s unique legal experience provides a further edge and depth to our commercial offering at an exciting time of growth for Chambers this year.”
