The Jersey Financial Services Commission is inviting registry customers and industry stakeholders to help shape the future of its online services through a new engagement initiative, ‘JFSC connect’.
This focus aligns with the Government of Jersey’s Time to Win report, which highlights the importance of digital capability in enhancing the competitiveness of Jersey’s financial services sector.
JFSC connect will provide regular opportunities for users to engage directly with the The Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) and share their experiences of existing digital platforms. The programme supports the JFSC’s commitment to a digital-first approach that makes it easier to do business in the island and enables risk-based and proportionate regulation.
Improving digital experiences is a core priority of the JFSC’s new strategy. By strengthening its approach to technology, data and digital experience, the JFSC aims to deliver services that are more intuitive and responsive to customer needs, while making better use of data to inform regulatory decision making.
To support this work, the JFSC has recently strengthened its senior capability in technology and user experience. Daniel De Oliveira, Executive Director of Technology and Data, leads the organisation’s focus on strengthening digital capabilities. Daniel has over two decades’ experience in offshore financial services, specialising in data, analytics, and digital transformation.
Ria Sheppard has been appointed as Digital Experience Lead and will work across the organisation to ensure online services are accessible and designed around users, supporting a more connected experience for registry customers and regulated businesses. Ria has an extensive background in digital user experience, including at eBay and Money SuperMarket.
Director General, Jill Britton, said: “Our new strategy is focused on enabling economic growth. Digital channels are central to making it easier to do business in Jersey, and Daniel and Ria will be instrumental in improving user experience and creating real benefits for the island.”
