Crestbridge has acquired US trustee and corporate services provider Wyoming Trust Company as part of plans to expand its presence in the American market.
The acquisition follows a six-year partnership with Wyoming-based Willow Street LLC, which has now concluded.
As part of the move, Crestbridge has also announced that the business will now operate globally under the name Crestbridge Fiduciary.
Wyoming Trust Company (WTC), which was Wyoming’s first chartered trust company, has worked with US and international clients for more than 30 years.
The acquisition will see Crestbridge continue to operate from both Wyoming and Jersey, providing services for clients with cross-border structures and international interests.
Morgan Alleyn has also been appointed Managing Director of the consolidated Wyoming business. A US attorney, he specialises in areas including international tax, trusts, estates and cross-border structures.
Crestbridge Fiduciary CEO Heather Tibbo (pictured) said: “Today’s announcement marks a significant milestone. It advances our long-term strategy of enhancing our integrated global platform, strongly positioning us to anticipate and support the needs of a changing marketplace.
“By actively listening to our clients, and adopting a dynamic and streamlined business model, we are able to offer a unique value proposition that truly addresses the requirements of successful, internationally-mobile families.”
Crestbridge Fiduciary Chairman, Steve Sokić, added: “The acquisition of WTC to the Crestbridge Fiduciary group is a further illustration of the Crestbridge commitment to the important US market and of its ambition to consolidate its reputation as a global provider to international families.”
