SunWorks is inviting charities and community organisations across Jersey to apply for its 2026 Solar Giveaway, made possible this year through the support of Benest Estates.
The initiative offers one local organisation the opportunity to receive a free solar panel installation worth up to £30,000, an amount which has been building over the years and increased thanks to sponsorship this year, helping to cut energy costs and invest more back into vital community work.
Now in it’s 3rd year, the Solar Giveaway, sponsored by Benest Estates, continues to champion sustainability while delivering meaningful financial relief to organisations that need it most.
Mark Brandon, Managing Director of SunWorks, said: “We’re proud to bring back the Solar Giveaway for another year and to continue supporting islanders in a meaningful, practical way. We’re especially grateful to Benest Estates for their generous support this year; their contribution has made it possible for us to deliver an even greater impact, and it’s fantastic to be working with a partner that shares our commitment to the Jersey community and a more sustainable future.”
The initiative builds on a strong track record of impact. In 2025, Oxygen Therapy was selected as the winner, benefiting from a more sustainable operation. The year before the Sustainable Cooperative (SCOOP) took the prize, using solar to support its community-focused mission.
André Benest of Benest Estates said: “We’re delighted to support SunWorks in delivering this year’s Solar Giveaway. Charities and community groups are at the heart of Jersey, and this initiative offers a practical way to help them become more energy efficient and financially sustainable.”
