JTC Law has announced the appointment of Stefan Schausberger as Head of Private Client and International Trusts.
Stefan (pictured) will advise both international corporates and private clients, including professional trustees, administrators, high-net-worth individuals and family offices, on a broad range of private client matters and structuring. Based in Jersey, he will also provide advice on compliance and regulatory issues.
Stefan brings more than a decade of offshore legal experience to the firm. He was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court in South Africa, where he began his legal career as a criminal defence litigator.
Since then, he has specialised as an offshore lawyer in both South Africa and Jersey, advising clients across multiple jurisdictions on both private client and corporate matters. Stefan has also been recognised within the wider industry, having served as a judge on the Citywealth IFC Awards 2026 panel.
Stefan commented: “Joining JTC Law presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic practice. I look forward to working alongside a highly skilled and collaborative team, and to contributing my energy and expertise in delivering high-quality, pragmatic and client-focused advice. I am particularly motivated to support the continued growth and development of the firm.”
Jeremy Garrood, Founding Partner and Head of Insolvency and Dispute Resolution, added: “Stefan’s appointment reflects JTC Law’s commitment to investing in specialist legal expertise and delivering practical, high-quality advice to clients across a wide range of jurisdictions and structures.
“He is a great senior addition to the firm and undoubtedly will strengthen our expertise in private client, international trusts and related regulatory matters.
