Businesses are being encouraged to take their meetings on the move this May by signing up to the ‘Grow Green Miles’ initiative.
Leading the way is OSA Recruitment, the first company to sign up. The team is keen to be part of the new initiative and is already embracing the idea of getting outdoors and walking during their meetings.
The concept is straightforward, pledge to walk a mile a day throughout the month of May and turn everyday business meetings into energising outdoor experiences. Swapping boardrooms for fresh air offers a new perspective, helping teams connect, think more clearly, and return to work feeling refreshed and ready for what’s next.
“May is such a beautiful month, and this initiative gives us a great reason to get outside and enjoy it while still keeping on top of business agendas,” said Sophie Gregson, Managing Director of OSA Recruitment. “Walking and talking brings a whole new dimension to meetings, it’s productive, uplifting, and good for everyone involved.”
Throughout the month, office-based professionals are encouraged to step away from their desks and embrace the natural environment; whether that’s a coastal path, park, or quiet lane – coffee in hand, ideas flowing. The initiative promotes regular exercise, fresh air, and mindful movement, all proven to support both physical and mental wellbeing. At the same time, participants will be raising vital funds to support Grow, making every step count for a greater purpose.
“May is the perfect time to get outdoors,” Ms Gregson added. “Why not invite a colleague to walk your Grow Green Mile with you? It’s a great opportunity to discuss ideas, talk business, or simply enjoy a moment of calm. Corporate teams can also use this as a chance to give something back to the island.”
“Even a short walk can have a big impact on how we feel physically and mentally,” said Grow’s General Manager Mandy Mackelworth. “We’re really looking forward to seeing the stories, photos, and creativity that participants share throughout the month.”
