Investec Bank (Channel Islands) has announced the appointment of David Monks as Senior Relationship Manager in Jersey for Investec Asset Finance.
David is a Jersey resident and brings more than 20 years of experience in lending. He most recently led Black Horse’s offices in Jersey and Guernsey, building long standing relationships with businesses across the islands. At Investec, David will work with corporate clients to understand what they need to fund and help structure asset finance that supports both day-to-day requirements and longer-term growth plans.
FJ Eigelaar, Managing Director, IAFCI commented: “David’s appointment reinforces our commitment to helping clients in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man with their asset finance needs. He brings deep local knowledge and the ability to build long term relationships. We support both individuals and businesses, and David strengthens our capability to deliver funding that is practical, responsive and tailored to what clients are trying to achieve.”
Alongside David’s appointment, and as a result of FJ Eigelaar being announced as Managing Director for Investec’s Asset Finance business in the Channel Islands, Robin Clayton has moved into a part-time Executive Director role focused on supporting business growth. Robin established the asset finance business in the Channel Islands and will continue to work with the team on business development and commercial opportunities across the islands.
Robin Clayton, advisor to IAFCI, said: “I am proud of what we have built in the Channel Islands and I am pleased to continue supporting the team as the business grows. With FJ leading the business and David strengthening our coverage in Jersey, we are well placed to keep delivering a responsive, relationship led service for clients across the islands.”
