The Channel Islands Cooperative Society has launched an initiative that will see 10p from every cup sold in-store at Coop’s self-service coffee machines donated to the Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association.
Through its Ground for Good partnership, Channel Islands Cooperative Society (CI Coop) donates 10p from every drink sold to local charities, ensuring the benefits stay within the community. In Guernsey, these donations will directly support the Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association, helping to fund vital services for islanders living with dementia and the families who care for them.
A spokesperson for the Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association said: “We are delighted to be chosen by the CI Coop for their new initiative with Ground & Co. This partnership shows a real commitment to our community and means so much to everyone at the Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association. Every cup purchased helps us continue providing vital support to islanders living with dementia and the families who care for them, reminding our community that no one has to face dementia alone.”
Mark Cox, CEO at CI Coop said: “Supporting our community is at the heart of everything we do at the Coop. That’s why we’re so pleased to be able to combine our new coffee offer with meaningful fundraising for a charity that plays such an important role in island life. The work that the Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association does is truly incredible and if we can make even the smallest difference with this initiative, we’ll be very happy!”
A spokesperson for Ground & Co added: “Ground & Co. is a fully integrated coffee-to-go brand rooted in sustainability, community, and exceptional quality. Created for today’s retailers and consumers, our ambition is to make a lasting impact on the market, underpinned by a strong commitment to accountability, affordability, transparency, and service. We’re incredibly proud to be introducing our coffee to the people of Guernsey and delighted to be partnering with Channel Islands Cooperative and Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association in support of such a meaningful cause.”
