Global yachting technology company Voly has launched a new Crew Payroll Module.
The company has also confirmed plans to expand its operations in Guernsey following its acquisition of Channel Islands payroll company Voyonic.
The new platform integrates payroll, contract management and leave planning into a single digital system designed specifically for the superyacht industry, replacing the spreadsheets and manual processes that have traditionally dominated the sector.
The development builds on Voly’s acquisition of Voyonic, a long-established payroll and employment services provider. Voly says the Guernsey team will play a key role in supporting the rollout of the new platform, with plans to grow the local workforce as demand increases across the international superyacht market.
Voly founder Ian Flanagan (pictured) said the company set out to modernise one of the most complex administrative functions in the industry.
“This industry has long relied on spreadsheets and fragmented systems,” he said. “By bringing together operational expertise and modern technology, we’re creating a platform that simplifies payroll and crew management for yacht owners, captains and crew.”
Sean Reid, captain of M/Y Triumph, said the system represents a major step forward. “Anything that reduces administrative complexity and improves accuracy is hugely valuable,” he said. “Voly has been pushing the industry forward for years.”
