Ogier has been certified by local charity Tiny Seeds as a Fertility Friendly Workplace, making it the first law firm in the Island to receive this recognition.
The professional services firm has taken significant steps to create a fertility friendly culture and a genuinely supportive workplace environment for their employees.
This support includes:
- an inclusive fertility policy with paid leave in all jurisdictions (including eight days paid leave for all colleagues undergoing fertility treatment and five days paid leave for people supporting someone going through fertility treatment like a surrogate/partner)
- a safe, supportive culture that encourages open conversations
- flexible working to support treatment needs
Commenting on the accreditation, Sophie Halsey, Senior Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Adviser at Ogier, said: “At Ogier, we recognise that fertility struggles can impact every aspect of life, and that navigating treatment alongside work can bring additional pressure and uncertainty. We are committed to offering the flexibility and support our people deserve during this time and are proud to be recognised as a Tiny Seeds-certified Fertility Friendly Workplace.”
Tiny Seeds founder Chloe Fosse added: “Fertility struggles can be emotionally, physically, and financially challenging, yet many employees feel unable to talk about them at work. Ogier has shown a genuine commitment to changing that, and to creating an environment where employees feel supported and understood while navigating fertility struggles and treatment. Our Fertility Friendly Workplace Toolkit provides guidance and practical resources for employers to support their teams with empathy and understanding, recognising the real impact fertility challenges have on the lives of those who experience them.”
