The Mortgage Shop has welcomed Lorraine Wright (formerly Lorraine McLean) as Head of Mortgages.
Lorraine (pictured) is well known across the island’s lending community, having spent the past 12 years at Skipton International. She joined the bank as its first Jersey-based employee, initially working alone to grow the local lending book and establish its presence in the island. As the business expanded, so did the team and its footprint, moving from shared office space to Waterloo Street and later to the Esplanade.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with some great people over the years, all focused on building something strong and sustainable while keeping customers at the centre”, Lorraine said.
“Coming back to mortgage broking feels like the right move. I enjoy working closely with clients, understanding their situation properly, and helping them move forward with confidence.”
Managing Director, Gary Tumelty, said Lorraine’s arrival reflects the firm’s long-standing focus on experience and teamwork.
“Lorraine is someone many people in Jersey already know and trust’, he said. “She brings real experience and sound judgement, and she shares our belief that good advice starts with understanding the person, not just the paperwork. This business has been built over three decades on personal service and strong relationships, and Lorraine strengthens what is already a very capable team.”
