The final fundraising total for the 2025 Skipton Swimarathon has been confirmed as £68,500, surpassing last year’s figure and reinforcing the event’s legacy.

Held from 8 to 12 October at Beau Sejour, the five-day event saw over 1,700 swimmers, volunteers and supporters take part, raising vital funds for this year’s main beneficiary, St John Guernsey LBG, alongside other local charities.

John Stuart, Chairman of the Skipton Swimarathon Organising Committee, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with this year’s result. Every swimmer, sponsor and supporter played a part in helping us exceed last year’s total. The energy and enthusiasm throughout the week was incredible, and it’s a testament to the community spirit that defines the Swimarathon.”

Charlotte Dunsterville, Chief Commercial Officer at Skipton International, added: “To raise nearly £70,000 is a phenomenal achievement. The Swimarathon continues to bring Guernsey together in a way that’s fun, inclusive and meaningful. We’re proud to support an event that makes such a tangible difference to local lives.”

Heather Langlois, Chief Executive Officer of St John Guernsey LBG, said: “This funding will help us expand our first aid education, youth programmes and community services across the island. We’re so grateful to everyone who swam, donated or volunteered. Your support helps us save lives and care for our community.”
