UBS Global Wealth Management has hosted two local events, in collaboration with Locate Jersey, to help empower women to take control of their financial futures and build meaningful connections.
The events were aimed at women coming to Jersey through the high-value residency program, and were hosted by Victoria Hagmann, Head UK, Jersey & Guernsey and Emma Wheeler, Head Women’s Wealth at UBS Global Wealth Management. The gatherings were hosted at The Club Hotel & Spa in St Helier and were split into two, a lunchtime and an evening event.
The lunchtime event brought together leaders, wealth creators, and changemakers to explore the power of community, philanthropy, and connection. Through a sit-down lunch accompanied by meaningful discussions, those in attendance learnt about how they can drive impact, build legacies, and support one another in creating a thriving, empowered Jersey.
The dinner event saw a lively panel discussion moderated by Tobias Wehrli, Country Head Jersey at UBS Global Wealth Management, entitled, ‘Breaking Barriers: Women Entrepreneurs and Wealth Creators’. Panellists included Emma Wheeler; Gaëlle Deschamps, Creator of ‘The Art of LeadHERship’; and Yvonne Heavey, Author and Playwright.
The panel shared insights and experiences on how financial confidence and purposeful leadership can transform lives, businesses and communities. Victoria Hagmann welcomed the guests and shared why financial confidence and empowerment is so relevant, and Emma provided a keynote speech on the work UBS are doing in the women’s wealth space and the importance of women taking control of their financial futures. The evening ended with a networking session.
