Local freight company Ferryspeed has partnered with Jersey Hospice Care as its community logistics partner, providing vital logistical support free of charge.
As part of Ferryspeed’s wider commitment to corporate social responsibility, the partnership includes transporting stock between Hospice charity shops, shipping specialised medical equipment, delivering key items for fundraising events, and installing signage across the Island.
Darren Scott, Chief Executive Officer of Ferryspeed said: “We’re pleased and very proud to be able to play a part in the vital work of Jersey Hospice Care and support their incredibly valuable services for islanders.
“It was important to us to do something that was meaningful and had real impact. Being community logistics partner not only aligns with our business and our role in the Island but also makes a difference to a key Island charity in both financial and operational terms.”
Cheri Strudwick, Director of Income Generation at Jersey Hospice Care, said: “The Ferryspeed partnership is a real example of when a local charity and local business connect in a truly meaningful way; not just concentrating on the important fundraising aspects, but exploring areas across the whole charity operations where Ferryspeed can improve efficiencies and influence new ways of working. Our teams are enjoying working with their teams.”
