Blue Parameters, a specialist in technical marine environmental solutions, has announced an evolution in its leadership structure, including the appointment of Guernsey-born Nick Burton Managing Director.
The leadership restructure includes the creation of two new senior roles with James Scott-Anderson as Technical Director and Simon de la Rue as Commercial Director.
Nicks appointment as Managing Director brings both international experience and a deep personal connection to the Channel Islands. As a native of Guernsey, Nick (pictured) is passionate about safeguarding the unique marine ecosystems that surround the islands.
“I’m incredibly proud to start this role with Blue Parameters in the Channel Islands,” said the new Managing Director. “Our waters are some of the most ecologically important and economically valuable in the British Isles. From seabed protection to renewable energy, we have a real opportunity to be a model for sustainable marine development — and Blue Parameters is here to support that journey.”
Blue Parameters’ expanded leadership team will be driving forward several key initiatives in the Channel Islands, including:
- Consultation with Local Governments – Providing expert advice to ensure that marine policies align with long-term environmental goals and global best practices.
- Seabed Protection and Biodiversity Monitoring – Helping to assess and mitigate impacts of marine activity on vulnerable habitats and species.
- Clean Harbour Strategies – Working with stakeholders to enhance water quality and reduce pollution in busy harbours and marinas.
- Tidal and Offshore Wind Energy Projects – Supporting the transition to renewable energy through environmental planning and impact assessments.
