Digital Jersey has announced a number of changes to its Board, welcoming a new non-executive director whilst also confirming the departure of two long-serving members.

Guy Mason (pictured) joins the Board as a non-executive director (NED) with extensive international strategy and operational expertise, and a strong track-record in technology-driven transformation, innovation and governance. He joins alongside Digital Jersey’s current serving NEDs Tom Hacquoil, Rob Kirkby and Professor Dame Wendy Hall.

Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Guy has led technology agendas for global corporations, fast-growth start-ups and SMEs across the retail, transport and distribution, logistics, hospitality, leisure and digital sectors. With deep knowledge in data governance, AI and cybersecurity, he has particular experience in supporting strategic innovation in private equity portfolio companies, shaping technology strategy at both a national and micro level, and in aligning public and private sector initiatives.

His appointment was formally confirmed via a Ministerial Decision this week.

Meanwhile, entrepreneur Aaron Chatterley, who co-founded Europe’s largest online beauty retailer feelunique in 2005, and Gailina Liew, a highly experienced company executive and NED, have both stepped down from the Digital Jersey Board. Both are long-serving members, having held their positions for nine years.

Commenting on the changes, Frank Walker, Chairman, Digital Jersey, said: “I’d like to welcome Guy to the Digital Jersey Board. Over an impressive career, Guy has worked with a diverse range of digital businesses and organisations around the world, supporting their growth trajectories and bringing public and private initiatives together. That experience will add huge value to our Board and to the work Digital Jersey is undertaking to ensure Jersey is fit for a digital future.

“At the same time, I would like to extend my thanks to Aaron and Gailina, who have given so much of their time and contributed so much to Digital Jersey over the past decade. Their input has been pivotal in supporting our strategy and getting Digital Jersey to where we are today.”

Guy added: “Joining the Board of Digital Jersey is both a privilege and a chance to help shape a digital ecosystem that not only drives economic growth, but positions Jersey as a global model for innovation, talent development, and responsible technology governance. I am drawn to work that has meaning and purpose, and contributing to a digital future that supports the island’s economy, nurtures local talent, and encourages responsible innovation feels both meaningful and rewarding — and something I am proud to help advance.”
