Jersey department store de Gruchy has announced Freeda as its chosen charity partner.

As part of this initiative, de Gruchy will drive fundraising efforts, raise awareness and actively engage customers and employees in meaningful ways to support Freeda’s mission.

Commenting on the announcement, Simon Youden, Store Director said: “At de Gruchy, we believe in making a tangible, positive impact in the community we serve. Freeda provides invaluable support to women and their families in need, and we are proud to stand alongside them. Through fundraising, awareness and hands-on initiatives, we aim to make a lasting difference.”

Throughout the year, de Gruchy will spearhead a series of impactful activities, including donation drives and special shopping events. Key highlights include an empowerment workshop series designed to help Freeda clients regain confidence and independence, as well as skills-based volunteering to support women looking to enter or re-enter the workplace.

Discussing the partnership, Kate Wright, CEO of Freeda said: “A partnership like this is so exciting for Freeda, as it has the potential to be really transformative for many of the women accessing our services in terms of helping to build confidence, providing practical support to access the workplace and in achieving financial independence. We are really delighted to be partnering with de Gruchy in this way, and so grateful for their active support.”
