Paul, who has more than 35 years’ experience in the financial services industry, joins from Vistra, having previously worked for several leading financial service providers including Deloitte and Citigroup. A Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland (FCG) and a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP), Paul will report to the CEO and will work closely with senior management to identify, plan, and oversee strategic initiatives and projects that are critical to the firm’s success and growth.
“I am delighted that Paul will be joining us – he brings with him significant experience to what is a key strategic role at Fairway,” said Fairway Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Alistair Rothwell. “Paul will be responsible for providing input into the strategic management of commercial and technical developments to identify, assess, and manage business risks, while driving commercial initiatives that align with regulatory requirements and market opportunities. Through proactive risk management and innovative commercial strategies, Paul’s role will enhance Fairway’s competitiveness and deliver value to stakeholders.”
“Safeguarding Fairway’s reputation and client trust, while ensuring compliance with Jersey’s regulatory framework, will be core responsibilities of my new role, which I’m very much looking forward to,” said Paul. “I’ll be working closely with the compliance team, while also providing subject matter expertise and internal consultancy on complex client structures. I will also contribute to the development of Fairway’s governance services, create a compliance effectiveness review strategy and support Fairway’s international growth strategy. I am thrilled to be joining such a forward thinking business that puts the needs of clients at the heart of their approach to business.”
In addition to Pauls appointment, Fairway has also made four promotions; Emma Craggs to Associate Director, Private Client, Claire Gillard to Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance, Heidi Chilvers to Assistant Manager, Compliance and Olavo Soares to Trust Administrator (Madeira).
