IT Administrator
Skipton International is a locally run bank dedicated to providing the best possible experience for our customers.
We’re looking for an experienced IT administrator to join our technology function, with a focus on supporting our colleagues and maintaining and enhancing our use of technology in secure and sustainable ways.
Key accountabilities
- Provide a high-quality Service Desk experience to all colleagues, spanning L1 (Customer-facing) and L2+ (technical resolution and technical project delivery) activities
- Assist with the delivery of a robust, effective and well-controlled technology environment to support business activities, aligning to relevant IT and Business Service Level Agreements, policies and Risk profiles
- Assist with the management of the relationships and contractual arrangements with existing and future IT and related partners ensuring they are held to account & deliver
- Contribute to and help develop as required an effective IT team, meeting business needs and requirements including building and sharing knowledge
- Taking ownership of IT system issues from detection through to full resolution
- Contribute to the overall control environment that keeps customer data safe and secure including any systems or IT-specific elements of that environment
- Contribute to the Business Continuity Plan and assist with the delivery of any system or IT-specific elements of the Plan
- Create and maintain documentation related to the IT systems, their functions and support
- Assist with the identification, assessment, mitigation and management of IT-related risks
- Assist with the specification, assessment, procurement and implementation of IT systems and solutions
- Drive continuous system, process and risk mitigation improvements adhering to best practice and aligning with business objectives
- Assist with ensuring a robust cyber security environment is maintained
- Adhere to CPD (Continued Professional Development) requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures
- Adhere to the Skipton International core values and expected behaviours
- Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by management
Essential requirements
- Any IT qualifications are helpful, however suitable hands-on experience is acceptable
- Able to interpret complex information quickly and accurately
- Excellent time and task management and able to progress multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Focussed and results orientated
- Wide range of IT and business knowledge from working within commercial environments. This should include hands-on experience of supporting: Windows Desktop environments (Windows 11), Active Directory and related services, users with the Office 365 suite of tools e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, Windows server support including basic tasks like installation, service management, patching, basic trouble shooting,
- Understanding of Azure and cloud approaches
- 2+ years’ experience working in an IT operations/engineering or Service Desk provision role
