Christmas has arrived at Grow with the delivery of 270 Christmas trees ready for sale.
Building on several successful festive seasons, Horticulture Manager Stuart Smale has expanded the selection this year, offering trees from 4 to 7 feet in height.
“These premium Nordmann firs are non-drop and in excellent condition,” said Mr. Smale. “Our customers have asked for greater variety, and we’re delighted to offer a range of sizes to suit every home this holiday season.”
To celebrate Christmas Deloitte has continued their annual sponsorship of the trees
“We were keen to carry on our support for Grow with the work that they do to enrich the lives of people with learning disabilities, and celebrate the festive season,” said Jo Huxtable, partner at Deloitte Guernsey. “So sponsoring their Christmas trees ticked both boxes as well as spreading a little Christmas cheer.”
To help ensure that all the income from tree sales will benefit the charity Condor Ferries have transported them free of charge. “We carry many consignments of plants for Grow throughout the year and are delighted to give them an extra boost at Christmas time by bringing in the trees at no cost to them,” said Steve Champion-Smith Executive Director Freight at Condor Ferries.
“We are extremely grateful to both Deloitte and Condor Ferries for supporting us in this way,” said Mr Smale. He continued: “Our Christmas Fayre takes place on Saturday 7 th December and on the two following December Saturdays leading up to Christmas both the training café and new shop will be open between 10.30am and 2.30pm so we are looking forward to welcoming customers both old and new to Grow to wish them a happy Christmas.”
