Applications are now formally open for the latest Impact Jersey grant programme.

The programme is aimed at providing local and global innovators with an opportunity to develop and deploy tech-driven solutions to enhance customer experiences, productivity, and efficiency across Jersey’s retail, tourism, hospitality and logistics  sectors.

The new programme – CXTech – was officially launched at an event at the Digital Jersey Hub last week, attended by around 100 tech innovators and representatives from across Jersey’s retail, hospitality and logistics sectors and wider economy.

The latest programme – the third Impact Jersey initiative so far – is tasking innovators with developing customer experience technology solutions with the aim of enhancing interactions, boosting productivity and improving operational efficiencies across multiple sectors of the local economy.

Interested innovators now have until 15th January to submit their ideas via the Impact Jersey portal, before applicants are given an opportunity to pitch their ideas at a presentation stage in late January, and submissions are ultimately assessed by a panel of independent judges.

The programme is open to on and off-Island innovators, with the winning proposals expected to deliver their solution within a 12-month period. The programme will be based on a 50/50 match funding model, with up to £500,000 being awarded for initiatives that will test, trial, stimulate and incentivise technology solutions.

Commenting on the launch of the new programme, Tony Moretta, CEO, Digital Jersey, said: “I’m really proud of the way the team has continued to evolve the Impact Jersey initiative through the launch of the latest CXTech programme, from the design and governance stages, all the way through to the implementation. We’ve listened carefully to feedback on previous programmes and we’re continuing to work hard on making sure the programme is accessible and geared up to really benefit Jersey through the application of cutting-edge technology.

“With the CXTech programme now open for applications, we’re looking forward to seeing some interesting ideas come in over the coming weeks that can really shift the dial in improving customer experience and boosting business productivity across the Island’s visitor, retail and wider economy.”
