Iceland Foods has announced a new franchise partnership with Alliance that will see new stores open across Jersey and Guernsey over the next year.
The partnership marks a fresh era for Iceland in the Channel Islands, with a renewed focus on delivering quality and affordability, with the first Food Warehouse set to open outside of the UK in Guernsey at the start of 2025.
As a franchisee, Alliance will offer Iceland’s product ranges, including its large selection of exclusive brands – TGI Fridays, Greggs and My Protein – seasonal merchandise, and extended value range in selected stores across the Channel Islands.
The franchisee partnership will kick start with the opening of the Food Warehouse in Guernsey, on Braye Road in January 2025. However, just in time for the festive season, the store will begin to stock selected items from Iceland’s luxurious Christmas range from Monday 11th November.
Iceland currently operates 10 franchise stores in the Channel Islands in partnership with Sandpiper CI, all of which are scheduled to close over the next 12 months. This transition follows the recent acquisition of Sandpiper CI’s franchise operations by Morrisons.
Iceland’s new franchise partnership with Alliance, an independent retailer in Jersey and Guernsey, will ensure customers are able to continue to shop its quality products at the new Food Warehouse and the Iceland stores scheduled to open throughout 2025.
