2024 was another record-breaking year for the Saffery Rotary Walk.
More than £90,000 was distributed across 21 charities, organisers are encouraging Bailiwick charities and not-for-profit organisations to apply for funding from the 2025 Saffery Rotary Walk, taking place on Saturday 7th June 2025.
Each year, the goal of the Walk is to provide financial support to a wide variety of local causes, making a positive contribution to the wider community across a range of sectors, including social care, healthcare, sport, arts, leisure, and more.
Walk Chairman, Simon Milsted, said: “We’re proud to once again offer local charities the opportunity to benefit from the Saffery Rotary Walk.
“Each year, the Walk’s success allows us to support initiatives that make a real difference to islanders, and we encourage all eligible charities to put forward applications that clearly demonstrate how they will positively impact our community.
“Thanks to our sponsors, every penny that our walkers raise is available for distribution to our selected charities. Without the continued support of our sponsors and our main event sponsor, Saffery Trust, this would not be a possibility.”
Saffery Trust Director, Lisa Vizia said: “The Saffery Rotary Walk is a wonderful example of the community coming together to support a wide range of charitable projects.
“This is a great opportunity for charities to gain support for projects that deliver measurable outcomes and create lasting benefits and we’re excited to see the meaningful initiatives that will apply for funding in 2025.
“We look forward to starting the process of finding new applicants for next year’s Walk, and we would love to hear from any local charities or not-for-profit organisations within our community.”
