The Canaccord Corporate Cup is sponsored by Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management. It has become a popular annual fixture with local businesses battling it out over six 5K races, run during lunch time between April and September.
The team’s performance was scored based on the finishing positions of its runners in their gender category, with the series champion determined by the lowest points across their best three races, emphasizing consistency and teamwork.
Head of Wealth Management at Canaccord Jersey, Charles Cohen said: “The Corporate Cup is a fantastic team-building activity bringing people together for a common goal and raising money for an important local charity. It’s a true celebration of health, teamwork and community spirit and we’re delighted to have supported the event for so long. Congratulations to everyone who took part and many thanks to organiser Paul Burrows for his hard work bringing the event together.
“We are delighted with the way islanders have taken the Corporate Cup to their heart and we are keen to encourage even more runners – of every ability – to consider taking part in next year’s event. We have buddy runners within Canaccord who are happy to help anyone who needs it to make sure no-one feels they can’t take part.”
Commenting on the support for Jersey Stroke Support, CEO and Director Tracy O’Regan said: “We’re delighted to benefit from the funds raised through the Canaccord Corporate Cup. All the money raised stays in Jersey and the funds will help the charity work towards one of our aims; to raise awareness about stroke and stroke prevention on the island.”
